Police issue warning after thefts

Ottawa police are warning people to remain vigilant after a slew of personal robberies in the west end Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Police said a man approached a victim on the Centrepointe bike path at 12:45 a.m. Thursday and pointed a handgun in the victim’s face. Police are seeking a 15- to 18-year-old black male with a large build.

Police are also looking at a robbery at Craig Henry Park after four males approached two youths. Police said that a male was pushed to the ground and kicked repeatedly. They are seeking a Latino male, a black male and a white male, all aged 15 to 16.

The third incident occurred in the area of Woodridge Crescent and Bayshore Avenue, when police said a victim had a knife pointed at him. Police are seeking a 17-year-old black male.
