Police looking for suspect in Brooklyn shooting that left five injured

Police looking for suspect in Brooklyn shooting that left five injured

Police believe 19-year-old Marquise Frederick was one of the assailants at Monday night’s shooting in Brooklyn. Ambulances rushed to Red Hook last night to rescue five wounded from gun shots a little before 11 p.m. The victims were hospitalized immediately after the shooting that occurred only 10 minutes earlier. Only one was severely injured; all five are now in stable condition.

The motive for the shooting is still unknown. According to ABC 7, the two men started shooting after they got out of a silver SUV on Dwight Street. Then, they immediately left the crime scene.

One 19-year-old woman was critically injured in the torso. Two male victims, 20, were also shot in the torso and two other female victims, 19 and 22, were shot in the leg. They were taken to Lutheran Medical Center, except for one male who was hospitalized at Methodist Hospital.

“All I know is there have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing,” stated an NYPD spokeswoman to Metro.

NYPD posted a wanted picture of the suspect, Marquise Frederick at about 3 p.m., hoping for news of his whereabouts.
