As the search continues for the suspect in an attempted rape inside Prospect Park last month, the NYPD has released a second video of the man wanted for the crime.
On April 20 at about 5: 12 a.m. a 23-year-old woman was jogging inside the Brooklyn park near Garfield Place and Prospect Park West when she was approached from the suspect from behind, according to police.
The man then threw the victim on the ground, took out a knife and told her that he was going to sexually assault her, cops said.
A struggle began as the victim resisted and the man ran away from the scene, according to police. The woman was cut on her right index finger and was taken to Methodist Hospital in stable condition.
Police describe the suspect as a black man, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, 180 to 190 pounds, with short hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black pants with white lettering on one pant leg, and black sneakers with white bottoms.
On Monday night, the NYPD — who two weeks ago provided a sketch of the suspect — released the second surveillance video of the man.
