Schools in the Boston-area suburb of Sharon were keeping students inside following reports of gunfire at a nearby motel on Thursday.
Police were searching for a suspect believed to be involved in the incident, in which several shots were fired around 11 a.m., at an Econo Lodgeon Route 1.
“I heard four to five shots,” a motel employee told a NECN reporter.

Police recovered a gun in a nearby neighborhood, andare searching for a male suspect,Patch.com reported.
Walpole Public Schools is keeping students inside as a precaution, administrators tweeted. The town has schools about a mile from the location of the shooting. Students will be dismissed at the regular time.
