A suspect in a wheelchair allegedly robbed a TD Bank branch on Queens Boulevard in Sunnyside Monday after claiming to have a gun and a bomb.
The suspect, whom police described as black and between the ages of 25 and 35, arrived at the TD Bank near the corner of Queens Boulevard and 41st Street around 1:45 p.m., the New York Daily News reported. RELATED:Police looking for suspects in Astoria robbery and stabbing “He was moving so fast,” said a witness in a related New York Post article. “I don’t know which way he went because I just thought I never seen anybody move so fast in a wheelchair.” The suspect, whom cops think is genuinely handicapped, received $500 from the teller, who also placed a dye pack with the cash, the Post added. In his note, he had claimed to have a bomb and gun.
After being handed the stolen cash, the alleged thief fled south on Queens Blvd, the Daily News stated.

“I was inside the whole time. I didn’t see anything!” a bank customer was quoted by the Post, which added that the suspect is still at large.
