RCMP in Fort St. John have been searching a local garbage dump for clues into the disappearance of a pregnant woman.
Abigail Andrews, 28, was last seen leaving her home to visit a friend a block away on April 7, and was reported missing a few days later, said Cpl. Annie Linteau.
“Foul play has not yet been ruled out,” said Linteau, who would not elaborate on what officers were looking for in the landfill.
Andrews’ family said her disappearance is out of character given that she is three months pregnant and maintains close contact with her family.
As of press time yesterday, 5,200 people had joined a Facebook group asking for information on her whereabouts.
Andrews is as six feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. She has brown hair and a tattoo of tribal art on her lower back.
