Police seek missing teenage couple

Police say they’re worried for a teenage couple from West Vancouver who appear to have run away together last week, because there’s been no cellphone, bank or Internet activity since then.

Alexander Nassim Carter and Calista Fanthorpe, both 15, were last seen on Oct. 15 at Horseshoe Bay, Det. Fred Harding said yesterday.

He said family and friends indicated the pair spoke of plans to run away together to live in the Okanagan or the Kootenays.

“This lack of activity has increased the concern for their safety,” Harding said.

The teenagers may have made their way to the interior, the Sunshine Coast or Vancouver Island via a Greyhound bus or other means of public transit.

“The teens are asked to contact a family member, the police or someone whom they trust to give an indication that they are safe,” said Harding.

Anyone with information is asked to call 604-925-7300.
