A 31-year-old woman is dead after being struck by a dump truck near the intersection of Orleans Boulevard and Navan Road Wednesday.
A female pedestrian was hit at around 9:25 a.m. Paramedics arrived minutes later to find the victim without vital signs. They treated her for critical head injuries, fractures to her legs and one arm.
The woman had no vital signs upon arrival at hospital and was declared dead several minutes later.
Police are investigating the incident. Witnesses to the collision are asked to call police at 613-236-1222 ext. 2481.
