Police team back from 6-day investigation into B.C. shooting

Calgary police officers returned home Thursday after investigating a fatal shooting in Kamloops, B.C.

“We’ve collected a lot of physical evidence that we need to have analyzed once we get home,” said Acting Staff Sgt. Rick?Tuza.

The incident happened July 30 when the driver of a Toyota 4-Runner rammed into an unmarked RCMP van. Two shots were fired, one of which killed the driver of the 4Runner.

The victim has been identified as Wilbert Douglas Bartley, 50, of no fixed address.
