Premier League 2017-18: Matchday 5 schedule, TV, more

Wayne Rooney is set to make his return to Old Trafford as a member of Everton as he faces off against Manchester United, the club he spent the past 14 years with.

In that time, he became one of the greatest goal scorers in league history, recording 200 goals. Only the legendary Alan Shearer has more with 260.

While that normally would be enough to carry a footballing weekend, Arsenal head to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea in a match that is already dire for the Gunners.

Entering Matchday 5, Arsenal sit at 11th in the league with six points, just four back of league leaders Manchester United (Chelsea are one back with nine). While it’s early enough to make up any sort of lost ground, Arsenal won’t want to fall too far back off the pace or manager Arsene Wenger’s hot seat will only grow warmer despite a contract extension over the summer.

The last time these two met in the Premier League, Chelsea came away with a 3-1 victory in February on their way to the title. Arsenal though has won the last two matches, which came in the FA Cup and the FA Community Shield.

Premier League fans get three days of action this week as Matchday 5 kicks off on Friday.
