President Trump responded to his Twitter account getting deleted on Thursday for several minutes.

Last night, millions of people visited President Trump’s Twitter account only to discover it was no longer there. During the brief 11-minute period many thought his account was suspended but Twitter later reported his account was “inadvertently deactivated due to human error” and they were investigating the matter.

Trump tweeted early Friday morning: "My Twitter account was taken down for 11 minutes by a rogue employee. I guess the word must finally be getting out-and having an impact."

President Trump’s Twitter account mysteriously disappeared from the site Thursday afternoon around 4 p.m. Visitors to Trump’s Twitter account were greeted by Twitter’s blue splash page that reads “ Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!”

Around 10 p.m. EST Twitter’s Twitter Government account (@TwitterGov) account tweeted to let everyone know what happened. They learned it was done by a Twitter employee on his last day and said they were conducting “a full internal review.”

When it was discovered that a Twitter employee decided to push the button and delete the president's Twitter account on their last day, Twitter quickly reacted to the news and praised the now-former Twitter employee.

At least one person recognized the former Twitter employee as their hero.

While others posted GIFs they believed to be appropriate.

Representative Ted Liu from California went a step further by offering Pizza Hut pizza to the former Twitter employee for his service to the country.

Everyone knows President Trump uses Twitter to share his thoughts about the media, announce policies, or go after anyone who chooses to kneel during the national anthem, but for 11 whole minutes on Thursday, his 41.8 million had a small break from his tweets.
