Not that wealthy, jacked 24-year-old NFL players need any help in the ladies department, but Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara might as well be called the prince of (female body part) now that he has disclosed the information that he is a virgin.

“Some people call me the black Tim Tebow,” Amukamara told Muscle & Fitness magazine. “I grew up Catholic, so it just started out as one of those things. I’d think, ‘If I do this, maybe I can get to heaven,’ so I said no drinks, no sex, all the big things. As I grew up, I realized that’s not what it’s about. It’s about having a relationship with Jesus. It’s not about ‘Don’t do this. Don’t do that.’ But still, it’s just one of those things I haven’t done, and I don’t see any benefit to doing it. You’re always reading about people getting DUIs. So many bad things that happen and wind up in the paper are alcohol-related, so by not drinking, it saves me, my team, and my family a lot of trouble.”

If you didn’t know yet, in 2013, the kids are down with the whole straight edge culture. Which, as a sports fan immediately makes me think: poor A.C. Green. The first noted pro athlete who declared himself a virgin lived in friggin’ Los Angeles in the 1980s, aka the most improbable city and time period in the history of man to remain a virgin.

Being a virgin in New York City in 2013 can’t be a picnic for Amukamara either. But the “Iron Man” AC Green remains the gold standard of virgin athletes. According to the site waitingtillmarriage.org (oh baby), A.C. Green waited until he was 38 to complete his manhood. The 24-year-old Amukamara, meanwhile, is already engaged, therefore his streak is about to come to an abrupt end one way or another (watch out would-be Princess Amukamara … this news is only a bad thing for you).
