After they were invaded by a pair of gunman and ordered to strip at the Mattapan house they were in was robbed of drugs, money and a television, the five victims of the September massacre were “marched” up Woolson Street and shot multiple times.
That’s according to prosecutors who laid out a portion of their case Tuesday against the 33-year-old Mattapan man who they believe is responsible for killing four people, including a toddler, and shooting another.
Dwayne Moore was ordered held without bail during his arraignment in Dorchester District Court.
Prosecutors for the first time Tuesday offered details of a possible motive.
Assistant District Attorney Edmond Zabin said that Moore and another man, Kimani Washington, hatched the home invasion and robbery plan for the Sutton Street home of Simba Martin, one of the eventual victims.
Prosecutors said the two men entered the home on Sept. 28 with guns, forced some of the people inside to strip and took a safe, money, drugs and a television. They then marched them around the corner to Woolson Street and shot the group of people.
Washington and Moore knew each other from being incarcerated together at the same time, prosecutors said. Moore knew Martin because he lived at the Sutton Street home and knew there would be drugs and money there.
Police arrested Moore Monday night. During an interview with police he allegedly said, “I can’t do this. I can’t go back to jail. You’re going to have to kill me.”
