Public input sought to help set course for St. Patrick’s Island

The Calgary Municipal Land Corporation is seeking public input to determine the future of St. Patrick’s Island.

Over the next nine months, CMLC will be releasing a series of surveys to gauge what Calgarians want to do with the 30-acre green space sitting in the Bow River just north of Fort Calgary.

“The island is a public amenity and it’s important to hear from the public about what they envision for the island,” said CMLC communications manager Susan Veres.

The feedback from the public will be complied and passed on to an advisory committee which will help create a plan for the park.

CMLC also plans to conduct focus groups and tours throughout the summer.

The first survey was launched yesterday and will remain open until June 4. To take the survey online, visit www.calgarymlc.ca.
