Puppies seeking homes in Edmonton needn’t fear a housing shortage.
“This morning when the doors opened, there were just two of the new puppies from Manitoba left, and they were adopted right away,” said Shawna Randolf, spokesperson for the Edmonton Humane Society.
This comes as no surprise to EHS workers.
So far in 2010 the EHS has reported 800 more animal adoptions than at this point last November, and they’ve also seen increases of more than 1,000 total adoptions over each of the past two years.
