Putting dreams on the big screen

Aboriginal filmmakers will once again get a chance to showcase their work at the annual Dream Speakers Film Festival, in its new location at West Edmonton Mall.

“There is something in this for everyone, from very young to very old,” said Helen Calahasen, executive director for the Dream Speakers Film Festival.

This event will feature some big names in aboriginal films and is donation based so filmgoers may pay what they wish to see these films.

This is the 14th year of the festival and the event will run from June 16 to 21 at West Edmonton Mall as apart of the mall’s Aboriginal days.
