Queens drug raid nets four, nearly $20K in cash

Four Queens men are facing up to 20 years behind bars after they were caught with more than 12 pounds of pot, cocaine, pills and mushrooms.

London Bhagwandass, 23, Christopher Centron, 27,and Devan M. Rivera, 22, all of Richmond Hill, and Justin CentronofKew Gardens, were arraigned on Thursday on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance as well as criminal possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia, prosectors said. All four have been held without bail.

According to the charges, police executed the search warrant at Centron’shome at 6:20 a.m. on March 2, at which time Rivera jumped and crashed through the front door. Bhagwandass and JustinCentron were located inside.

Police recovered 12 pounds of marijuana, nine ounces of mushrooms, 14 ounces of cocaine, half an ounce of crack cocaine, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia and$19,500 in cash, according to the prosecutors.

“These arrests should serve as a warning to other drug dealers that the law enforcement community will continue to aggressively track down those individuals who traffic in drugs and seek to put them in prison,” Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brownsaid in a statement.
