A 37-year-old Boston man was arrested around 5 p.m. Saturday after witnesses claimed to see him masturbating on an MBTA Orange Line train between Oak Grove and Wellington Stations.
William Jones allegedly “took off running” after transit police called out to him after realizing he matched the description of the reported masturbator.
Officers eventually caught up with him, and the witness positively identified him as the culprit.
He was charged with lewd, wanton and lascivious conduct, and was expected to appear in court sometime today.
In an unrelated incident, a Quincy man was arrested around 1 a.m. today at Wollaston Station for allegedly breaking into a T inspector’s booth and snatching a portable two way radio.
Michael O’Reagan, 21, was charged with breaking and entering and larceny after a witness positively identified him. He is also set to appear in court today.
