The Halifax Rainmen earned at least one win on the weekend. A second victory could be added this week.
The Rainmen beat the Quebec Kebs 95-84 on Saturday, but didn’t play their scheduled game on Friday against the Montreal Sasquatch because the Premier Basketball League decided the venue did not comply with its standards.
Rainmen owner Andre Levingston contacted the PBL upon arrival because he “felt the court was unsafe to play on.” A decision could be made as early as today on whether the game will be rescheduled or given to Halifax as a forfeit victory.
Montreal was briefly kicked out of the PBL in February before being reinstated after an ownership change.
• Halifax’s A.J. Millien did not play Saturday because of a family emergency … The Rainmen are 9-7 and trail Wilmington (10-4) and Vermont (9-6) in the wildcard standings.
