The Rangers are in trouble.

After a putrid 5-0 setback Thursday New York trails the Penguins 3-1 as the series shifts back to Pittsburgh.

Rookie goalkeeper Matt Murray saved all 31 shots he faced earning his second career playoff win in as many tries. And not many of the 31 shots were quality chances.

Two days after mustering just 17 shots the Rangers were strickenwith lackluster offense again, and fell in an early hole after goals from Eric Fehr, Patric Hornqvistand Conor Sheary in the first period.

Evgeni Malkin tacked on two more goals, one apiece in the second and third periods.

Four of the Pens goals came against Henrik Lundqvist(14 saves on 18 shots), who was pulled for Anitti Raanta, who saved 13 of 14 shots.

The Rangers have a day off before heading west to Pittsburgh for Saturday night’s Game 5.
