RCMP release photo of McDonald’s robber burned by hot oil

Surrey RCMP have released photos of a man who had hot oil thrown on his face while attempting to rob a drive-thru restaurant.

Mounties are hoping the photo will motivate people with information about the suspect to call police.

The man approached the window of a McDonald’s drive-thru shortly before midnight on April 29, demanding cash.

As he leaned in through the window, an employee threw hot cooking oil on the suspect, presumably burning him.

The robber fled the scene leaving some of the cash on the ground.

The suspect is about six feet tall and between the ages 20 and 25. He may be suffering burns to his face and neck area.
