When Janeane Garofalo isn’t racing the clock these days as FBI agent Janis Gold on “24,” you can still find her putting that delightfully dry sense of humor to work on the standup circuit — or watching questionable TV like the rest of us. She’s performing later this week at Comix, and we’re delighted to report that not only has she seen “The Hills,” but she’s found a moral to the story.
1 On why ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ should hire her
I would do anything to be on that show. I don’t know what kind of use they have for me, but I’m putting it out there to the universe: I want to be on “It’s Always Sunny” with Artemis. She should really be on every single TV show.
2 What reality TV can teach us all
When people ask, “Why don’t you have children?” just say, “Do you watch ‘The Hills’ or ‘Jersey Shore’ or ‘Fox News’?” I bet you anything Snooki and Lauren [Conrad] were adorable babies.
3 And why Fox News isn’t funny
When I do dip into ‘Fox News,’ it’s rare because it hurts me and it hurts us all. But sometimes there’s material to be mined — from all media, not just Fox so-called News.
