Just before families sit down for a turkey and gravy dinner, Heinz is recalling 500 cases of its HomeStyle Gravy Bistro Au Jus Gravy to protect allergy sufferers.

The jars may be mislabeled as pork gravy, and therefore not include an ingredient list advising the product contains milk and soy.

There have been no consumer complaints or reports of illness so far, but according to the FDA, people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk or soy run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.

Retailers should be on the lookout for cases of 12-ounce glass jars ofHeinz HomeStyle Gravy Bistro Au Jus.

Consumers should watch out for 12-ounce individual glass jars ofHeinz HomeStyle Gravy Pork with a “best buy” date of Dec.28, 2017.
