Recent BU grad killed by T train

A recent Boston University graduate was hit and killed by a Green Line D train early yesterday.
Josh Stimson, 22, of Brighton, was found between the Longwood and Fenway stops at about 12:19 a.m., according to the T.

“Investigators have ruled out any problems with the train or the signal issues,” said Joe Pesaturo, a T spokesman. “It remains unclear why he was inside the fence-enclosed Green Line right-of-way.”

Pesaturo added that transit police interviewed people who were with Stimson prior to the incident and that they believe alcohol use may have been a factor.

Stimson was originally from New Hampshire. A Boston University spokes-man said he recently graduated and said the incident was “awful sad.”

On his Facebook profile, Stimson said he graduated from the university’s School of Management earlier this year.

He lists his interests as paintball, rugby, soccer and boxing.
