The 2016 MLB postseason was tentatively scheduled to finish with a perfect David Ortiz farewell. The Red Sox were supposed to cruise to the World Series, where they would face the Chicago Cubs, and the Sox would win – in seven – with Big Papi as World Series MVP.

The Cleveland Indians are on the verge of ruining those plans on the AL side, as they have silenced all of Boston’s big bats – including Ortiz – through two games. Cleveland took a 2-0 lead in the ALDS Friday, beating the Red Sox 6-0 at Progressive Field.

Ortiz is now just 1-for-8 in the series and the Sox came up with just three hits in Friday’s shutout loss.

Sox starter David Price continued to underwhelm, allowing five earned runs on six hits. Price walked two and struck out three on 65 pitches.

The series now shifts to Fenway Park with Game 3 slated for Sunday (4 p.m., TBS).
