The Red Sox will play the Cleveland Indians in the ALDS, beginning Thursday at Progressive Field. The start times for the games will depend on how Tuesday’s wild card game between the Orioles and Blue Jays plays out, but if one had to guess TBS and MLB will want the Red Sox in primetime.

Last year, the first Thursday of the MLB playoffs featured a 4:37 p.m. game and a 7:37 p.m. game. On Friday last year, with four MLB playoff games going on, there was an ALDS game that began at 12:45 p.m.. The only team in the MLB playoffs that TV networks would want over the Red Sox right now are the championship-starved Chicago Cubs. Chicago will play the winner of the Mets – Giants series starting on Friday. Here is a guess as to when the Sox – Indians games will start (will be updated when it becomes official). The dates and locations are already locked into place.
