Red Sox Showcase tours Boston with batting cages, virtual reality

Red Sox Showcase

You can live out your Fenway fantasies this summer without even setting foot inside the famed ballpark with the Red Sox Showcase.

The truck of fun is back this year, teaming up with T-Mobile to travel around Boston and New England throughout the rest of the season. Fans can stop by the festivities to experience a host of baseball-related activities that should keep Red Sox nation pumped up as the team looks to make a run for the 2017 playoffs.

Fans hoping to work on their swings will get the chance at the Red Sox Showcases’ touring batting cages. The pop-up event also includes interactive entertainment ranging from pitching stations and a steal 2nd challenge to an immersive, virtual reality experience.

The best part? It’s all free.

After stopping in South Boston earlier this week, the Red Sox Showcase will ship over to Hardiman Playground in Brighton for the City of Boston Fenway Challenge, beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 4. The festivities will then make there way over to Faneuil Hall on Thursday, Aug. 10, starting at 10 a.m.

The Red Sox Showcase will then travel to Wrentham and Worcester for various events to round out the month before returning to Boston proper in September. For a full list of dates and locations, check out the team’s website.
