Report: Charities not getting all the cash

Charitable contributions collected by professional solicitors resulted in charities receiving less than half of the donations made to them, a report released yesterday by the Attorney General said.

The report revealed that professional solicitors raised nearly $329 million in 2009 — with only about $141 million ending up with charities.
