New York Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman is “one million percent” planning to opt out of the final two years of his contract, The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal reported Wednesday.

Sources told Rosenthal that Chapman, 31, will enter free agency and forfeit the final two years and $30 million of the five-year, $86 million contract he signed in December 2016.

The left-hander earned his sixth All-Star selection this season and is 2-2 with a league-leading 25 saves and a 2.45 ERA in 39 appearances entering Wednesday’s action.

In 10 seasons with the Yankees (2016-19), Chicago Cubs (2016) and Cincinnati Reds (2010-15), Chapman has 261 saves and a 2.25 ERA with 851 strikeouts in 515 1/3 innings.
