An Arkansas man who has no feeling from the waist down woke up to a grisly game of fetch with his dog after he realized the animal had eaten one of his testicles.
The 39-year-old man told police he typically sleeps nude and awoke from a slumber Monday morning to a “burning pain” in his midsection, according to KAIT in Poinsett County, Arkansas. That’s when he noticed his dog was between his legs with blood on its snout and paws. He quickly realized the animal had chewed off one of his testicles as he slept.
The man told police he rescued the “small, white, fluffy” dog as a stray just weeks ago. He wasn’t sure if the animal was up to date on its vaccinations. Officials took the dog to a local veterinarian to be euthanized.
The man was taken to St. Bernards Regional Medical Center (seriously) for treatment.
