Rihanna is team Rachel Dolezal

Quick! Rihanna! Say something outrageous! The pop star is never one to disappoint when it comes to saying outlandish or attention-grabbing things, and her thoughts on disgraced former NAACP chapter president Rachel Dolezal — who made headlines for being outed as only pretending to be African-American. “I think she was a bit of a hero, because she kind of flipped on society a little bit,” Rihanna tells Vanity Fair. “Is it such a horrible thing that she pretended to be black? Black is a great thing, and I think she legit changed people’s perspective a bit and woke people up.”

Big questions, definitely. And Dolezal did in fact wake people up in one respect or another. But I don’t know, “legit” is kind of a funny word to use in this situation.
