The party is over for a professional playboy who cops said promised exclusive access to posh NYC events, but instead blew his clients’ money on his own extravagant social life.
Police said 36-year-old Robert Giuliano branded himself as a “luxury concierge” by promising inside access to the party scene and reservations at hot clubs and restaurants, but used the credit card information of his clients to pay for his own hotel rooms, meals and drinks.
“The defendant made claims through his company’s website that he could get his customers into everything from Fashion Week events to presidential inaugurations, but as charged, he used their money to fund his own lavish lifestyle,” District Attorney Cyrus Vance said.
On his website (www.giulianogroup.tv), Giuliano’s services list offers everything from personal shoppers to advice on subway routes. He claims to have packages available for hopefuls wishing to attend VIP events including Playboy Mansion parties, a private event hosted for President Obama by Deepak Chopra and Russel Simmons, and a Chanel celebrity dinner during the Tribeca Film Festival.
Giuliano is accused of charging more than $6,000 to a client’s credit card on April 4 to pay for an unauthorized stay at the W Hotel on Lexington Avenue. Police said he also charged more than $5,000 to another client’s credit card to pay for four days he spent at the W Hotel on Park Avenue South later in the month.
Gialiano is facing a slew of charges, including identity theft, forgery, grand larceny, falsifying business records and resisting arrest.
