Roxbury house allegedly a brothel

According to a Boston Globe report, Mayor Thomas Menino called a home in Roxbury that was allegedly running as a brothel a “cancer” to the city.

According to the Globe report, a house at 100 Mount Pleasant Ave in Roxbury was shut down Wednesday by city inspectors.

Neighbors reported a constant flow of men coming in and out of the building, sometimes followed by a half naked woman chasing said men for money they allegedly owed them.

Menino told the Globe, once they got wind of the alleged prostitute playpen the city sent out a response team to immediately shut it down.

“A building like this is a cancer in a neighborhood,” Menino said.
