Today, Occupy Boston is getting a visit from the co-founder of Def Jam—- hip-hop’s very own Russell Simmons.
The founder of GlobalGrind.com, Simmons announced on twitter he would be swinging through the Hub after a late night sweep occurred at Occupy Wall Street.
According to Simmons, he has called an “emergency press conference” and will make “a major announcement that will promote a more equal and just democracy.”
He is scheduled to speak at Occupy Boston at noon. The site has had many visitors, including hip-hop artist Sage Francis, rock and roll icon Amanda Palmer and other local artists.
“Today I will deliver a [message] to the occupy movement a simple document that would end wall streets control over our government,” he said in a tweet under his name @UncleRush
