The Chaparral School is doing its part to reduce their ecological footprint, and they demonstrated that to the public during an open house last night at the school.
With the help of two $10,000 grants from BP Energy, the school forged ahead with understanding how their school could use alternative energy sources. The school purchased solar panels, a wind turbine and several greenhouses and solar ovens with the grants. The Energy Expo highlighted the achievements of alternate energy sources.
