Now you don’t have to live in Pasadena to dig through Clothes Heaven’s impressive selection of Chanel. Designer pieces from the boutique — along with gems from other reputable consignment and vintage shops (think: INA in New York and The Address in Santa Monica) — are featured on new online store reFINEstyle.com. “The idea came to me because I love to travel,” explains founder Megan Masoner, who’s based in Dallas. “I sure can’t go to New York every week, but I’d love to shop the consignment shops. So we bring these treasures from all over the country to your desktop with a click of a mouse.” To help spread the message, she’s enlisted stylist Nicole Chavez — whose clients include Scarlett Johansson, Rachel Bilson and Catherine Zeta-Jones — as Style Editor. We catch up with the in-demand stylist.
What makes this site different from other shopping sites?
One of the things that I am most proud of is that the people we selected to be a part of this site are people that have been in the business for a very long time. They are really knowledgeable and all their parts are 100 percent authentic. So I really feel confident when I’m out there saying, “Hey, buy this Louis Vuitton bag,” because I know that the product that I’m talking about is real.
What’s you’re role on the site?
I am there to help the shoppers visualize how they are going to achieve my favorite looks, the things I’m loving, with the special pieces from the site. A lot of the stores are stores that I shop in myself, and we work together on hand-selecting sellers.
