Second mistrial in murder case

A Brampton judge has declared a second mistrial in the road rage murder trial of Andrew Harris over personal issues involving the defence attorney.
Madame Justice Francine Van Melle yesterday released jurors from the trial and defence attorney Karen Cosgrove has been told to return to court April 28.
Harris, 26, of Toronto had pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Christymayooran Anton-Pious, 21, of Brampton.
Van Melle has placed a publication ban on the circumstances leading to this second mistrial — and why Cosgrove has been ordered to appear in court.
Jurors yesterday also weren’t told why a mistrial had been declared.
A new trial date is to be chosen April 25.
