The Select Bus Service received a B-minus grade on Council member Jessica Lappin’s report card yesterday.
The buses allow customers to pay at the stop and then quickly step on, and utilize special bus lanes and other improvements meant to guarantee a swift ride.
Not so, Lappin said, after listening to constituents’ phone calls and visiting all the stops in her Upper East Side district.
Lappin’s constituents complained of $100 summonses for not showing tickets when machines didn’t work, she said.
