Severed dog paws found in Central Park

The discovery of two severed animal paws in Central Park has spawned an ASPCA investigation, the animal rights group confirmed Sunday to Metro.

According to The New York Post, the animal paws were found last week in the northern section of the park last Monday.

They resemble dog paws and may have been part of a ritualistic ceremony, the Post reported.

The ASPCA is urging anyone with information to call its Humane Law Enforcement Department at 212-876-7700 ext. 4450.
