Attention burger lovers: if you’re hardy — and hungry — enough to brave the arctic conditions out there today, trek over to Harvard Square for the official grand opening of Shake Shack.
The popular NYC joint opened a Chestnut Hill this past spring, spurring people who never before had any reason to go to Chestnut Hill to flock there in droves. Shake Shack makes a mean burger. They soft-opened their second Massachusetts location in Harvard Square just before Christmas, only serving desserts.
Today at 11 a.m., however, they’ll be slinging the burgers and fries that, despite their name, are their bread and butter. So to speak.
They probably couldn’t have picked a worse day for their big opening but, on the plus side, if you do brave the blizzard, you likely won’t have to wait in line.
