Signs set for late night riders

Signage to help late night transit riders with their trips home was expected to be put up yesterday at all SkyTrain and Canada Line stations, according to TransLink officials.

The move was necessitated by the large number of transit riders stuck downtown because they don’t know at what time the SkyTrain closes.

Along with the new directions, transit officials are also reminding the public that night buses leaving from the intersection of Howe and Dunsmuir streets will be running until 4:30 a.m. and mirror both the Expo and Canada lines.

Regular service of buses and SkyTrain resumes at 5 a.m. every morning leaving only 30 minutes of down time each day until the end of the Olympics.
