SINGAPORE (Reuters) – Singapore total retail sales fell a record 52.1% on a year-on-year basis in May, when the city-state was under a lockdown to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections, according to data released by Singapore Department of Statistics on Friday.

The drop was the steepest since records began in 1986.
