Halloween may be in the rearview mirror, but there’s still plenty of time to enjoy the fall season in Boston. This weekend, the Seaport will host Zoo & Brew, an autumn celebration designed to accommodate parents and children alike.

On Saturday, grab the kids and head to Sea Green on Stillings Street for a free day of fun. The festivities include an appearance by Animal Affair Traveling Petting Zoo, featuring baby goats, chickens, chicks, bunnies and piglets.

If you didn’t get to check out the Trillium Brewing Company’s beer garden on the Greenway this year, fans will have another chance to sip on the popular Boston brews outside at this weekend’s event. For those in attendance over the age of 21, Trillium will have a craft beer bar set up so you can enjoy some libations.

WS Development, the development company that’s hosting Zoo & Brew, is in the process of transforming 23 acres of waterfront land in the Seaport area into a blend of residential, hotel, office, retail, entertainment, civic and cultural projects. They hope events like this weekend’s festivities will help strengthen the neighborhood’s family-friendly appeal.

“As the Seaport continues to grow, its appeal to families is only strengthening,” WS Development senior vice president Yanni Tsipis said in a statement. “Fun filled, community-oriented events that welcome all ages, like Zoo & Brew, are essential components to the neighborhood’s culture and are a key part of WS’s vision.”

In addition to the brews and cute critters, the event will also feature live music, plus food and drink samples from new Seaport eateries such as Tuscan Kitchen, La Colombe Coffee Roasters Juice Press, Ben & Jerry’s and Kings Dining and Entertainment.
