The site of the deadliest fire in Massachusetts in 20 years will be torn down this week.
The three-story building on Branch Street will be demolished on Tuesday, according to WBZ. Three children and four adults were killed in the Lowell fire that tore through the apartment building on Thursday.
Authorities have not said what caused the fatal fire. Investigators are still sifting through evidence, records and witness statements.
The fire hurt other residents and a firefighter and displaced dozens who lived in the building. A fund was set up to help those impacted by the fire.
