Crews were still clearing the roadways for drivers on Sunday morning after the overnight storm that dropped several inches of snow on the region.

Residents of Greater Boston woke up to a blanket of white that fell overnight when a storm dropped up to 10 inches of snow on the region.
The storm dropped just more than 4 inches of snow in Boston – officially 4.2 inches – as of 7 a.m., according to the National Weather Service, which measures snowfall at Logan Airport.
Other recorded snowfall totals include 6 inches in Worcester, 5.3 inches in Norwood, 7.3 inches in Concord and 10 inches in Topsfield.
In anticipation of the storm, several communities issued snow emergencies early on Saturday including Medford and Somerville. Somerville said that its snow emergency would expire at 11 a.m. on Sunday and that cars would have to be moved from municipal lots by 1:30 p.m. However, Boston was one of the communities that did not declare a snow emergency.
The first significant snowfall of the season caused some power outages in the region. As of about 10 a.m. there were more than 1,500 homes or businesses without power, according to NSTAR. Many of those were reported to be in Boston.
