I absolutely love this article. Paul Sullivan sums up perfectly just how uneducated people are about the web.
Has society missed the banner that all the bad guys have hung up, saying, “Hey look, I’m over here, getting pictures of your kid off the Internet and learning all the intricate details of your life?”
Craigslist founder Craig Newmark should not be the one with a lawsuit on his hands. As sad as it is that this happened to this poor girl, Newmark was not the one who murdered her, or told this guy to stalk her. If this classified ad had been in a newspaper, how do we know he wouldn’t have found her that way instead?
