Tricia Fraser, the mother whose 6-year-old daughter’s image appeared on a giant anti-abortion billboard in SoHo, has filed a lawsuit against the anti-abortion group behind the ad.
The Texas group Life Always posted a billboard featuring Fraser’s daughter, who is black, and the words, “The most dangerous place for an African-American is in the womb.” The billboard was briefly up in February in Soho before it was removed, in part due to pressure from the City Council.
The lawsuit alleges the billboard is racist and the use of Fraser’s daughter is defamatory.
