Look, we’re not saying it would be a bad idea if she did want to make another “Hocus Pocus.” Just in case she’s thinking about it.

Despite a wealth of Internet rumors to the contrary and your own personal desire for it to be the case, Tina Fey will not be making a “Hocus Pocus” sequel. The confusion seems to have stemmed from the world’s totally understandable interest in seeing Bette Midler play a witch again and the fact that Fey is, in fact, working on a witch movie. Just not that witch movie.
Fey’s project is for Disney and will involve her potentially producing and starring. The Hollywood Reporter suggests the movie will have a “Ghostbusters tone,” so maybe the next rumor will have Fey writing the ever-potential “Ghostbusters” sequel. Actually, that sounds pretty fun.
As long as nobody gets any funny ideas about making a sequel to the Angelica Huston-starring “The Witches” (you know, the most terrifying movie ever made), we’ll be on board.
