Alberta SPCA officials are investigating allegations a central Alberta man dragged a puppy behind an ATV for an unknown distance.
Authorities were called after a witness reported seeing a young dog tethered to an ATV on a rural road on Sunday near Blackfalds, Alta.
Alberta SPCA peace officer Morris Airey said they are still investigating whether charges will be laid against the owner but did confirm the owner surrendered the animal yesterday. “The animal will remain under veterinary care until we decide where to place the animal,” Airey said.
