The Belmont is the longest of the three Triple Crown horse races and one can bet NBC will milk the race for all it’s worth this Saturday considering California Chrome is the odds-on favorite to not only win Belmont but also become the first horse since 1978 to win all three of the sport’s biggest annual races.
The 2014 Belmont Stakes has a scheduled post time of 6:52 p.m. on Saturday, which is about a half hour later than when the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes go off.
NBC’s coverage of the event will begin at 2:30 p.m. on NBCSN and at 4:30 p.m. on main NBC channels.
